La palabra «hombre», en España, no sólo sirve para hacer referencia a un individuo adulto del sexo masculino, sino que en muchas expresiones se utiliza para reforzar diferentes significados. Si estamos hablando con una mujer, podemos sustituir la palabra «hombre» por «mujer». Aunque no es raro que escuchéis las expresiones con «hombre» para dirigirse a mujeres. ¡Esperamos que os guste!

Meter la pata significa cometer un error o decir algo inoportuno. Sinónimos de la expresión «meter la pata«: equivocarse, errar, desacertar, fallar, confundirse, marrar, patinar Orígen de la expresión «meter la pata«: la explicación más probable, si bien hay alguna otra, es que está expresión esté relacionada con el mundo de la caza. En español llamamos «pata» a las extremidades de los animales. Por eso cuando un animal mete la pata en una trampa de un cazador, ha cometido un error. Ha metido la pata.

IR y VENIR, cómo se usan en español

El verbo IR y el verbo VENIR son muy parecidos pero tienen significados diferentes en español. ¿Quieres conocer las diferencias? El verbo VENIR expresa el movimiento de quien viene al lugar en el que yo (el hablante) estoy: Juan viene aquí (el sitio donde yo estoy). El verbo IR también expresa movimiento, pero movimiento desde donde yo estoy hacia otro lugar: Voy a la escuela (desde aquí, donde estoy, hasta la escuela, que es un lugar diferente).

Presente de subjuntivo: deseos

Para expresar deseos en español, utilizamos el presente de subjuntivo. ¿Quieres saber cómo se utiliza? El presente de subjuntivo es una de las formas verbales que más os cuesta a los estudiantes de español. No porque sea una forma muy complicada o tenga muchos verbos irregulares, sino porque su uso, a veces, puede resultar bastante confuso. Pero, hay uno de estos usos que no se os olvidará nunca, y es el de expresar deseos: Quiero que + PRESENTE DE SUBJUNTIVO Deseo que + PRESENTE DE SUBJUNTIVO Espero que + PRESENTE DE SUBJUNTIVO Ojalá (que) + PRESENTE DE SUBJUNTIVO Por ejemplo: Quiero que vengas a mi fiesta de cumpleaños. Espero que no llueva esta tarde, así podremos salir de compras.

I spent 3 months at the Taronja School and had the best time ever! I started from scratch but the school and its methods taught me Spanish very well. Amazing summer learning Spanish with Taronja I was here for two months in summer and had a really positive experience. I actually booked only for one month but ended up extending for an extra month. The classes were fun, interesting, and I felt comfortable talking, learning, (and making mistakes), with my classmates mad teachers. You need an intital assesment of your spanish skills (quick questionnaire, and a couple of minutes speaking) and then get placed into a class for your level. However, if it is too difficult, or easy, there is no problem with changing class, and I found the staff, and the headteacher, Jenny, very friendly and easy to talk to, and always happy to help with anything.
It is easy to make friends, which is important if you are coming here on your own (like me) and there were social acitivties every night. These ranged from paella nights, language exchanges, and generally drinking and socialising. Always fun. I was here in summer which would offer a bigger social life compared to low-season/ winter etc.
The lessons are varied and you use handouts, quiz games, group tasks, videos, songs, etc, in order to learn in a varied way.
I would recommend to anyone who values a more fun and social atmosphere to learn and I definitely feel like I improved a lot. In 2 months, I went from a low A2, to a B1 level, and I had a lot of practice actually speaking the Spanish that I had learned.

Aprender Español en Valencia Esta escuela es una lugar muy estructivo. Los profesores son pacientes, divertidas y estan explicando la lengua español muy bien. La escuela organiza actividades culturales después las lecciones. El deficio está en la centra de la ciudad y es muy preciosa, hay muchos restaurantes cerca de la escuela. Me encanta mucho esta escuela.

I enjoyed my classes at the Taronja school. I had nice teachers (Ne, Sa, Ya) and learned a lot of Spanish. I got a lot of attention from the teachers, the interns and the organizing staff. There are a lot of younger students (18-30) but I am sure middle-aged or older students have a lot of fun as well. I felt a little bit like back in school 18 years ago. I enjoyed this feeling.There are many activities during the week. You get the chance to talk a lot of Spanish (if you want to talk Spanish). I can't understand most bad recommendations. If you want high-educated native speakers with classes of 4 persons and the very same Spanish level someone has to tell me a country in Europe where you get this below 800 Euros a week! The price-performance ratio is very good, in my opinion. I am sure for the money you pay you get a Spanish boost and a good time (I can't say anything about the accommodations, because I stayed somewhere private). I sometimes have the feeling that in the eyes of foreigners spanish teachers and staff are expected to work for small salaries (instead of a fair salaries). Maybe this is something to reflect on and everybody is free to invest in private lessons. The new school building is very, very nice! I strongly recommend this school (also for students older than 30)!
