¿Cómo estás?

Hola a todos. ¿Cómo estás?, es una pregunta que te van a hacer muy a menudo cuando vengas a España. ¿Sabes cómo tienes que responder?

En esta lección de español te vamos a enseñar varias expresiones con las que puedes responder a esta pregunta. Seguro que dejas impresionados a tus amigos.

Los españoles usamos el verbo ESTAR para describir nuestros estado mental o físico. Por ejemplo:

  • Estoy bien, gracias.
  • Estoy mal, no me encuentro muy bien.

ATENCIÓN: no usamos el verbo SER.

Otra manera de responder a la pregunta, ¿cómo estás o cómo te encuentras?, es con el verbo reflexivo ENCONTRARSE:

  • Me encuentro bien, gracias.
  • No me encuentro bien.

En algunos casos también utilizamos el verbo TENER para expresar sensaciones físicas:

  • Tengo frío.
  • Tengo calor.
  • Tengo hambre
  • Tengo sed.

También puedes utilizar estas expresiones para decir cómo te sientes.

¿Cómo estás?, clases de español

Ahora que sabes cómo responder cuándo alguien te pregunta «¿cómo estas?«, recuerda que tienes que conjugar los verbos. Por ejemplo:

Tener mala cara -> (yo) tengo mala cara. (tu) tienes mala cara.

Significados del adjetivo GRANDE

El adjetivo GRANDE tiene un significado diferente en español, dependiendo de si va antes o después del sustantivo al que acompaña: «Un GRAN chico» —> Significa buena calidad: «A great boy» «Un chico GRANDE» —> Significa tamaño: «A big boy»

¿Mayúsculas o minúsculas? ¿Cómo se usan?

Muchos os confundís a la hora de utilizar las minúsculas y las mayúsculas en español. Entrad y leed, os damos unos consejos.  1) se escribe en MAYÚSCULA: •    la primera palabra de un escrito, o la que aparece después de un punto. Por ejemplo: “Ayer fui con Ana a la playa y nos lo pasamos muy bien. Hoy no sé lo que haré.” •    la palabra que sigue a la fórmula de encabezamiento o saludo de una carta o correo electrónico. Por ejemplo: “Estimado señor García:Mañana no podré asistir a la cita concertada…” •    la palabra que sigue a los puntos suspensivos cuando estos cierran el enunciado. Por ejemplo: “Había pan, mermelada, mantequilla, queso, jamón… Todo estaba buenísimo.” •    La primera palabra de un enunciado que sigue a una oración interrogativa o exclamativa. Por ejemplo: ¿Qué día es hoy? No me acuerdo.¡Qué guapo estabas en la fiesta! Tu traje era precioso. 2) se escriben en MINÚSCULA:•    los cargos y las  profesiones, independientemente del nombre o la organización a la que acompañen, a diferencia de otras lenguas como el inglés, o el alemán.Por ejemplo: “su majestad el rey Juan Carlos”“el presidente de los EE.UU. ““el director general del banco Santander…”“la ministra, Ana Mato…” Así que cuando escribas una carta al director de una empresa, escribe su cargo en minúscula y ¡ATENCIÓN! ¡no olvides los dos puntos! Estimado director:  (correcto) Estimado director,  (incorrecto) Esperamos que os haya servido. ¡Hasta la próxima semana!

Diferencias entre conocer y saber

El verbo español «conocer»: conocemos  “algo” o “a alguien”.  Se utiliza cuando hemos tenido alguna experiencia con una cosa o con una persona conocida:Conocí a Víctor en la clase del lunes.Conozco un parque muy bonito en Valencia. En cambio, el verbo «saber» lo utilizamos para hablar de habilidades aprendidas como hablar un idioma, practicar un deporte, ir en bici, etc:Esta estudiante sabe hablar cinco lenguas.El profesor Víctor sabe jugar a fútbol muy bien. Ya conocéis las diferencias entre estos dos verbos, ahora solo necesitáis saber utilizarlos correctamente ? ¡A PRACTICAR!

I spent a fantastic week at Taronja in May 2019. The booking process was really straightforward (and I appreciated being able to sort out my accommodation through the school too) albeit a little embarrassing when recording a video of myself to have my level assessed 🙈. The booking information I received indicated that someone would be there to greet me at the accommodation upon arrival, but this wasn't the case – I didn't mind though because I'm a grown up and don't really need looking out for like that. The teachers and supporting staff were really friendly and helpful. The classes were challenging and taught entirely in Spanish, which I think is really beneficial and, for the level I was at (~B1), falling back to English shouldn't really be necessary. In the week I was there we alternated between days studying grammar (the present subjunctive) and more 'relaxing' days where we dived deeper into other topics such as ser/estar and por/para (though I would have been happier doing even more grammar studies, but maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment). I think what really stood out about my week at Taronja was the effort put into the social activities. There were things to do every evening and a weekend excursion had been organized too (but unfortunately I had to fly home that day and couldn't attend), so even if you arrive as a solo learner/traveller, you'll be able to find people to hang out with fairly quickly. In case it isn't clear, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend studying at Taronja, however I feel that attending for 1 week simply wasn't enough. Many of the people I met were staying for any amount of time from 3 weeks to 3 months. It's for this reason that I intend to return to Taronja next month for 2 weeks to try and really press on with improving my Spanish (and escape the miserable Dutch summer).

I would highly recommend this language school, with its competent teachers who are innovative and interested in their students. The material used is always of an excellent standard. The school has two bright buildings and there is a calendar of events each week both for students attending and those taking classes online.

Ottima scuola per studenti stranieri che vogliono imparare lo spagnolo In soggiorno a Valencia abbiamo approfittato per far svolgere un corso di 2 settimane a mia figlia che voleva approfondire il suo spagnolo. Consigliatami da amici si è rivelata una proficua esperienza. Ho parlato con gli insegnanti che fin da subito ho trovato gentili e disponibili. Mia figlia mi ha riferito che l'ambiente e il personale sono molto accoglienti. Gli insegnanti sono coinvolgenti e qualificati, oltre alla didattica partecipano alle attività organizzate della scuola. Ha avuto l'opportunità di conoscere persone da tutto il mondo e migliorare il suo spagnolo in poco tempo divertendosi. È stata un'esperienza molto positiva, infatti questa estate ci ritornerà ed io ne approfitterò per rifare un bel viaggio.

The school is located in the center of the city and easy to reach by public transportation or by walking. Everybody at the office is friendly and very helpful, they listen and understand your needs. They help you not only with school stuff but also with the matters of daily life and culture. Teachers are always prepared for the classes and they teach with an effective fun way. They understand your level and find out a way to make you understand and learn in a supportive way. Modern methods like internet and interactive whiteboard are used during the classes , which make the lessons flow easily. Grammar , reading, conversation, listening are well balanced. In a week different teachers are teaching in any given class that provides different styles, techniques and accents. Besides regular classes there are more classes to choose from ( like conversation ) according to one’s needs. Every week there are some activities, day trips and social gatherings so one can learn and experience more about the culture. The timetable of classes is constantly rotating hereby assigning a morning class on a day and an afternoon class on another day. Altogether it makes learning Spanish and Spanish culture easy, fun and effective process. Additionally Valencia is a very beautiful city with lovely locals. The city offers almost everything. Thank you all so much.
