diese Schule ist unglaublich vielseitig! Ich war für vier Wochen in Taronja zum Spanisch lernen. Und für mich war die Zeit in der Schule perfekt. Ich habe schnell und viel gelernt, die Lehrer sind offen, kompetent, hilfsbereit und haben Freude am Tun. Was die Schule für mich besonders gemacht hat, ist, dass sie einem Spanisch bei bringen, aber darüber hinaus auch viele Angebote zu Kultur und Leben stattfinden. Und ich hatte immer das Gefühl mit offenen Armen empfangen zu werden! Der perfekte Ort für einen Sprachurlaub.

Spending eight weeks learning Spanish in Valencia has been a rewarding experience. When I first arrived here, I had a patchy understanding of how basic Spanish grammar works, which gave me a false sense of confidence coming into the country. I was placed into a class that was far too advanced for my level, and I quickly discovered that my listening and speaking skills were practically non-existent. It is fair to say that I was completely baffed in my first week of lessons. I eventually moved down two groups, so I could work on my listening and speaking skills. This level was much more enjoyable, as I wasn’t in a permanent state of confusion. I have noticed my progress continue to grow steadily over the weeks. Now, I feel like I have enough Spanish to get by on my own and develop my skill independently. Understanding street chit-chat is becoming easier, watching Spanish T.V. is becoming more enjoyable, and I can usually interpret written texts. The teachers at Taronja are young, fun and competent people. Rather than forcing us to fill out boring and repetitive exercise sheets, they make learning more enjoyable by providing innovative activities and games to keep the classroom engaged. The timetable is constantly rotating, so we can benefit from various styles and techniques of each teacher. Valencia is a truly beautiful city in a variety of different ways. The centre of the city is built around two lively squares, made up of old monuments, statues, restaurants, and constant buzz of passing tourists. The surrounding streets are full of character and are brought to life by the detail of their design, the classical Valencian balconies, and the numerous restaurants. The Turia park is another incredible feature of the city. It used to be a large river flowing through the centre of the city, but people decided to drain it after serious floods in the 1950s. Now, it is a riverbed, which has been converted into a lush garden, where people go to escape the city, exercise and relax.

Allí puedes aprender un montón y vas a tener mucho diversión. Vale la pena... 🙂

I love Taronja and could not have asked for a better overall experience. I have a friendly recommendation for the school. I think the professors should provide more evaluative comments to students after the week of classes especially for students who stay more than one week. I would like to know: How am I doing? What do I need to work on? What advice do you have for me to practice out of class? This need not be summative or extensive possibly just a few minutes. This could be optional for the students who would like the feedback.

Last year I attended a Spanish course in Valencia. Before I made my decision where to go to improve my language I had got very good references about Taronja school. I did not hesitate to go there. My experience with educational process, free time activities at school was very positive. All teaches were well-trained, friendly and very skillful. The classes were full of fun and plenty of new information. Tuesday paella parties were great. All the food prepared by Fernando those days and during the cuisine classes was really delicious! The cultural lessons, walking tours were very interesting. However, the best discovery I made in Valencia thanks to Taronja was the Micro Theatre, which I will certainly visit each time I am in this marvelous city again! Taronja Ich habe im September einen vierwöchigen Sprachaufenthalt in Valencia an der Taronja Sprachschule verbracht. Es war nicht mein erster Besuch an einer Sprachschule und ich muss wirklich zugeben, dass es vom Lernniveau bisher die beste war. Die Lehrer sind alle studierte Sprachwissenschaftlicher, aber trotzdem nicht älter als 35, sprechen meistens mehr als 3-4 Sprachen fliesend, setzen sich aktiv mit den Schülern auseinander und das innerhalb sowie außerhalb der Stunden. Die nicht nach einem Buch oder Lehrplan ausgerichtete Lernmethode ist wirklich unfassbar effektiv und man macht innerhalb kürzester Zeit erhebliche Fortschritte.
Auch außerhalb der Schulstunden probiert die Schule das Rundumsorglospaket zu ermöglichen, jeden Tag andere Aktivitäten, kulturell sowie interaktiv und damit meine ich nicht dieses typische get-together in einer Bar und fertig, sondern wirklich coole Aktivitäten zu unschlagbar günstigen Preisen.
Insgesamt kann ich nur jedem empfehlen sich für diese Schule zu entscheiden.

If I can learn Spanish then anyone can! In a space of 6 weeks I went from saying "sin comentarios" in class to speaking short sentences with lovely regular, irregular and reflexive verbs ?. Teachers and administration staff are professional, friendly and supportive. I am going to miss my "chitty chats" with the Reception desk ?

Ein wirklich sehr lustiger und lehrreicher Sprachaufenthalt in Valencia - un viaje inolvidable 🙂 Ich war letztes Jahr insgesamt zehn Wochen in Valencia und acht davon verbrachte ich in der Sprachschule Taronja. Dies war meine vierte Sprachreise, jedoch die erste in Valencia, deshalb kann ich auch behaupten, dass diese eine der besten Sprachschulen ist, die man finden kann. Sie ist nicht nur, meines Erachtens, günstig sondern auch wirklich strukturiert aufgebaut. Die Besucher dieser Schule waren sehr international und man konnte sich kulturell sehr gut austauschen, da man nicht nur in der Schule zusammen war sondern auch in der Freizeit. Die Schule hat diverse Veranstaltung, bei denen alle recht herzlich eingeladen sind, allem Voran die Paella-Dienstage, da wird nämlich bei lässiger Location gratis Paella angeboten und man lernt spielerisch neue Leute kennen. Mit einigen bin ich noch immer befreundet bzw. man hört und sieht sich via WhatsApp.
Da ich weiter dranbleiben werde, Spanisch zu lernen, ist es für mich sofort klar gewesen, dass ich heuer wieder die Taronja besuchen werde. Vielleicht treffe ich ja heuer sogar einen, der meine Bewertung gelesen hat in Valencia - würde mich freuen 🙂
Ich hoffe, ich konnte euch mit meiner Bewertung helfen und dass ihr auch so eine geile Zeit, wie ich sie hatte, in Valencia verbringen könnt.
P.s.: Für alle die die la tomatina (Das Tomatenfest, wo man sich einfach aus Spaß mit Tomaten bewirft) nur aus dem Fernseher kennt, habt ihr auch hier die Möglichkeit Ende August dabei zu sein, denn die Schule organisiert Bus und Verpflegung 🙂
